Youth NOW

Services

Sunday Worship - 8:30 & 10:45 AM | Sunday School - 9:45 AM | Wednesday praise - 6:30 PM

We are the Youth NOW.

It has often been said, “The Youth are the future” or “Their time will come”. Statements like that push them away from what is happening now. They are the future. More importantly, they are ‘The NOW’. They live in this place. They run through the halls, they eat the food, they sing the songs, and they shoot the ‘hoops’. They are here with us and we are better for it.

We at First Methodist Church of Azle want them to know how vital they are to us. They are ‘life’ in this church. And we love them. We place a priority on helping them survive the teen years and grow to become the impressive people we know they are. If they travel from here to learn or to work we hope they will ‘come home’ with their families to the church they love.

They are worshiping & Praying with us NOW.    They are spreading the Good Word NOW.    They are THE NOW!

Confirmation Class

Confirmation is a time for 6th graders to have an in-depth exploration of their faith. The class is led by the Senior Pastor and generally meets starting in January of each year. Students will explore the core beliefs of the Christian faith, ask and answer questions of God, learn more about following Jesus, and understand how God’s grace is revealed in our lives each day. Please visit with the Senior Pastor to learn more about confirmation.

Throughout the Year

Youth musicians are invited to sing or play music as soloists or in ensembles in worship and for special events. The Youth Music team meets at 4:30pm on Wednesdays in the HUB.

The Youth are also encouraged to participate in Praise & Prayer at 6:30pm on Wednesdays in the HUB. Anyone interested in playing in the band or learning to run the video booth is encouraged to participate. This is Youth Worship led by the Youth.
