WORSHIP IN FAITH
Our community is growing in leaps and bounds. New opportunities emerge for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ every day. First Methodist Church of Azle is striving to meet this growing need. Our priority is improving Worship, Education and Fellowship opportunities.
The primary task of the local church is Worship. Worship must be inspirational. It must engage the congregation and reveal the presence of the Holy Spirit. Worship invites all to participate in the Means of Grace. (Worship attendance, hearing the Word, Hearing a discourse on the Word, Prayer, Praise, & Holy Communion).
Worship services are currently offered Sunday morning at 8:30AM and 10:45AM with an all-age Education period in between. We also offer a Wednesday evening Praise & Prayer service at 6:30 pm.
WORSHIP CHARACTER
Our 8:30AM Sunday service is offered in the Sanctuary.
The oldest part of the church building, our Sanctuary is a beautiful display of stained glass, wood, and masonry. Take a seat in the spacious pews and enjoy a worship service that features elements of choir, organ, praise band, piano and soloists as fitting to the theme of the season. This service offers a light use of liturgy, creeds, and altar calls fit to a Gospel-focused message. One can hear an beloved traditional hymn, gospel, and contemporary songs side-by-side presented to enhance prayer and Spirit. Holy Communion is offered in this service on the first Sunday of every month.
Our 10:45AM Sunday service is offered in the HUB.
The HUB is our largest and most efficient space. It is a multi-purpose space designed as a full-size gym adjoining the Kitchen. The HUB is a large space with an ample stage for the Praise band and a large projection area. Take a seat in the comfortably padded chairs in rows and gathers around tables and enjoy a worship service with a full stage band. This service is musivcally heavy with a sound presentation of a Gospel-focused message. Holy Communion is offered in this service every Sunday.
Each Sunday service features the same Scripture and a variation of the same message by the Pastor.
