Welcome! This first Sunday of Lent we hear of the Temptation of Christ in the Wilderness (Luke 4:1-13). It seems like such a distant story to us now. Jesus has a conversation with Satan and he wrestles with his flesh…its desires, its needs, its demands. We set it aside too easily as a scene we are watching, some play we aren’t involved in. But we are involved. The wilderness moments run through every minute of each day. We are bombarded with moments of moral dilemma and challenges that often seem easier to solve if we approach them selfishly. Have hope, come, and see!
