This Sunday, Pastor Gilman began a small series on the Book of Colossians titled “Life in Christ”. Living in Christ is to be like Christ. Yet, we don’t always feel prepared to be like Christ. Maybe we are lacking confidence, security, or strength. Consider the songbirds who stir from their slumber. They sing because they already could. They were given the gifts, empowered with the will, and led by their affinity to God. In Colossians, the apostle Paul reminds us of the supremacy and sufficiency of Christ. He could be considered as saying, "Forget how you feel! Wake! Open your eyes! See the rising of the sun. Sing out the song you have been prepared to sing, It’s in you – you already have it!" Let’s begin our Life in Christ! Thank you, Jesus! Come as you are and explore. Experience the Hope.
